Alyia Chan- Sayied, founder of Mainspring Counselling Services is a committed and engaging individual and group therapist. Alyia has completed a Bachelor of Social Work Degree at Ryerson University and a Master of Social Work Degree at York University. 


Registered as a Social Worker in both Ontario and Alberta, Canada.

 Alyia understands the complex issues that affect women such as relationships and changes within relationships, career and family issues; she offers effective therapeutic tools to assist with these challenges. Alyia is skilled at creating warm, open and non-judgemental spaces where clients increase their self awareness, receive support and tools to achieve personal and relational growth. Alongside providing therapy at Mainspring Counselling, she also works at a local hospital in a program supporting youth and adolescent mental heath and psychiatric interventions.

She became the head of Trauma Treatment with One Free World International, which provides support for survivors of war torture, human trafficking and sex slavery from the all affected areas of the world.
